We must ask ourselves is this the beginning of the end. When students do not even have to open a book to complete homework assignments. Well, Cushing Academy in Boston thinks books are of the past and gadgets like the Kindle are a new reality. I guess if you cannot beat technology you must embrace it.

How Libraries Stay Current

Libraries stay current by embracing technology. Libraries utilizing Web 2.0 applications are embracing what users use everyday such as instant messaging and social networking. Social networking can also be used as a marketing tool by libraries to reach younger and tech savvy users.
